    Overview

Kawasaki has launched the new Z900 in India. The new Z900 has replaced the Kawasaki Z800, one of the most popular bikes from Kawasaki India. The new bike receives substantial cosmetic and mechanical updates and now carries a design inspired from the larger Kawasaki Z1000. The sharp lines make the bike look mean and the green trellis frame looks cool. The new instrument console sports a semi-digital layout with an analogue tachometer.

The Kawasaki Z900 is 20kg lighter than the Z800 while power has gone up. Powering the Japanese performance motorcycle is a new 948cc, in-line four-cylinder motor is derived from the larger Z1000’s 1043cc powerplant. The new engine puts out 125PS and 99Nm of torque. The 6-speed gearbox feature revised ratios to offer better low-end and mid-range performance. The slipper clutch is a new addition.

The new trellis frame while reducing the kerb weight, claims to improve the dynamics. Suspension layout includes 41mm upside down forks upfront and a horizontally-mounted mono-shock at the rear. There are dual 300 mm front disc brakes with four-piston Nissin callipers and a 250 mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper. ABS is standard.

The Kawasaki Z900 will be brought to India via the CBU route and is priced at Rs 9 lakh (ex-Delhi). The Kawasaki Z900 will face competition from the Ducati Monster 821 and the upcoming 2017 Triumph Street Triple.

      My best soul mate
I put lots of bucks for this giant & I am very happy that I choose this giant as my riding soul. I bought it for daily uses and I have no regrets to ride Z900. The inline 4 cylinder of this bike is well attention when I ride it in the city. The giant looks awesome in green colour. The power and smoothness of the Z900 is tremendous.
