Overview
For 2018, the Honda Aviator gets cosmetic tweaks like a new LED headlamp. It also gets a metal muffler protector for added durability, a hook on the front apron and a retractable hook below the rider’s seat. The older version of the Aviator was available in four colours: Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Amazing White. The new one, though, gets a Pearl Spartan Red paint scheme instead of the Rebel Red Metallic colour. The Aviator now retails at Rs 55,157 (ex-Delhi). The scooter comes with Honda's tried and tested 109.20cc, air-cooled single cylinder motor which produces a maximum power of 8.03PS and 8.7Nm of torque.
Honda Aviator comes up with a well-designed body and an attractive front look which has curvy headlamps and clear lens indicators. The cushion seats offer a comfortable seating along with the spacious legroom to ensure a pleasant ride. It has an underseat storage capacity of 20 litres. The Aviator competes with the Honda Jupiter and Hero Maestro Edge.
Design

In terms of features, the Aviator retains the same analogue instrument cluster as before, a conventional bulb-type tail lamp and turn indicators, alloy wheels and mobile underseat charger.
The scooter has a 6-litre fuel tank. Honda Aviator weighs around 109 kgs and the seat height is 790 mm.
Features
An optional 190 mm disc brake on the front wheel helps in times of emergency braking along with the Combined Braking System (CBS) provided by the company to cater comfortable braking.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
Honda Aviator has a 109.20cc air-cooled single cylinder motor with a CVT transmission system. It makes 8.03PS at 7,000 rpm and the maximum torque is measured at 8.7Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine comes with Honda Eco Technology (HET) which improves combustion, optimizes transmission and reduces friction in the engine.
Handling & Ride Quality
The Aviator gets 910/100-12 front and 90/100-10 rear tubeless tyres fitted with 12-inch and 10-inch alloy rim front and rear respectively. An optional 190 mm disc brake is provided by the company to make it more classy otherwise the scooter is equipped with 130 mm drum brakes, both front and rear. It also gest CBS braking system. Suspension setup includes telescopic front forks and a single hydraulic damper at the rear.

Honda Aviator Latest Updates
Honda India launched the 2018 iteration of its long-standing premium scooter, the Aviator. Priced at Rs 55,157 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2018 Honda Aviator features an LED headlamp with Aviator signature inside. Apart from this, it gets a metal exhaust heat shield, hook on the apron and a retractable hook under the seat as well, which enhances its practicality. Honda has also introduced a new colour- Pearl Spartan Red which adds to the already existing Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic and Pearl Amazing White colour variants.
Mechanically, the scooter is the same as the earlier generation model. The 109. 19cc single-cylinder engine produces 8. 03PS at 7000rpm and 8. 94Nm at 5500rpm. The scooter rides on telescopic front forks and a single rear shock absorber. It also features a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear alloy wheel with 130mm drum brakes and CBS on both ends. A front 190mm disc is an option too. The Aviator comes in three variants (standard, alloy drum & alloy disc), and it competes with TVS Wego, Yamaha Alpha and Hero Duet.
