Overview
Hero is famous for manufacturing reliable and durable bikes in India. The company has launched its 125cc bike named as Hero MotoCorp Ignitor. The design inspiration for this bike comes from CBF Stunner. It has a sporty appearance that help it gain good numbers of the buyer.
Powering the bike is a 124.7cc, air-cooled, 4 – stroke, single cylinder, OHC engine that develops 10.9bhp of power with 11Nm of torque. It uses ATFT (Advanced Tumble Flow Induction Technology) engine that comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The fuel tank of the bike is nicely designed and have a capacity of 9 liters and offers a decent mileage.
The bike is bolted on a Tubular, Diamond Type frame, which is attached to 80/100 x 17 - M/C 46 P front and 100/90 x 17 - M/C 55 P rear tubeless tyres that come fitted over five-spoke alloy wheels. Braking becomes more responsive with the help of 240mm disc brake at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear end. Further, it is equipped with a suspension system that comprises of Telescopic Hydraulic Shock Absorbers on the front and Swing Arm with Adjustable Hydraulic Shock Absorbers at the rear end.
The manufacturer offers it in five colors and elegant graphics that are assembled on the semi-fairing, engine cowl and side panels.
Design
Hero Ignitor is quite looked almost same as Stunner, on the first look because the core design and dimension of this bike is taken from its erstwhile partner and can be easily mistaken as Stunner. However, Hero has tried to make it look different and the differences include changes in semi fairing, headlight, engine cowl, muffler, front fender, instrument cluster and side panels. The front fascia of the motorcycle is quite edgy and attractive with a bright headlight and long black visor. It has body colored front fender and rear view mirrors, that make it look more presentable.
The bike comes with precisely designed semi fairing that enhances the overall look of the machine and boasts of pleasing graphics along with side blinkers. Furthermore, it is furnished with a split seat with a body colored grab rail that works as a charmer as well as a safety feature. The rear suspension is in red color that adds a groovy touch to the design. The engine cowl is small yet sporty and is dipped in body colored and graphics. It has a neatly crafted fuel tank with a capacity of 9 liters and is useful for the vehicle that gives a decent mileage.
It comes with an overall dimension of 2010 mm in length, 710 mm in width, 1095 mm in height along with a 1270 mm of wheelbase. The machine has a minimum ground clearance of 175mm that offers good stability around the corners. Its total kerb weight is 129 kg.
Features
As far as the safety measures of Hero Ignitor are concerned, Hero has tried its best to make this two-wheeler better. It comes with side guards which avoid direct injury during a fall. This bike would have gone one step ahead then Stunner if it had boasted an Anti-lock Braking System.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
Hero Ignitor is propelled by a 124.7 cc, single cylinder, four-stroke engine. The air-cooled and OHC engine belts out a maximum power of 10.9bhp at 8000 rpm along with a peak torque of 11Nm at 5000 rpm. Further, the motor comes linked to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox with a gear-shift pattern of one down and the rest, up. The mill has a compression ratio of 9.2:1 and a power oriented bore x stroke ratio of 52.4 mm x 57.8 mm.
Handling & Ride Quality
Hero Ignitor runs on 80/100 x 17 - M/C 46 P at the front and 100/90 x 17 - M/C 55 P at the rear and it runs on tubeless tyres that are mounted over alloy wheels. The braking duties are carried out by 240mm disc brake at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear end. The machine shares its suspension system with Honda Stunner that includes telescopic forks at the front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear end, which offers optimum comfort to the rider as well as pillion.

- Comfoftable and stylesMy uncle have this bike since 2021 and it's too nice and comfortable to ride but I don't like the one thing that's the mileage. It's light weight and easy to ride. The handling is also smooth. I first ride this bike when I was only twelve years old. As a beginner,it's very nice to ride. Moreover, the sound is also less.Read More

- Hero IgniterHero Igniter My Black Ignitor, owned on Jan. 2014 at RS 58,000. HERO IGNITOR is good bike from the Hero. It is a replica of Honda stunner. The 125cc engine is enough to produce sufficient amount of thrust, with one cylinder it puts up 11bhp at 8000rpm, comes with AIR cooled cooling system. Mated to 5 gears easy shift and has good pickup. The weight is approx 129 kg makes it lightweight and easily accessible. Fuel tank capacity is up to 9 liters which is quite less for this bike. Hero Ignitor has very good suspension system makes it comfortable but seats are very unpleasant especially pillion one. The only problem i had is regarding its services and bike parts. From last 2 months i am trying to search bike parts but failed every time even bike dealers does not having parts available at their spare parts section. Final verdict- Looks are not good, you will face problems related to its parts. In 125cc segment it is okay. Only meant for youth not for everyone.Read More
- Hero IgniterHero Igniter I have Hero igniter and i owned this bike 1 year back, it is a replica of Honda stunner. As Hero igniter flaunts aggressive looks but i personally did not like its handling. It is offered with 125cc engine which is not enough for this bike, this bike needs more powerful engine and amount power generated is very low according to its body style, its engine mated to 5-speed gearbox that is a plus point of this bike. The company claims that igniter generates mileage of 72 kmpl but in real it fails to do so and company could have increase its fuel capacity a little bit, its fuel tank capacity is very low. moreover, its maintenance cost is not so much. On the account of safety, this bike is equipped with an anti-lock braking system that enhances its braking capacity and makes it one step ahead of Honda stunner. It has split seats are not so comfortable but its suspension system is quite good in design to overcome all road bumps. This bike is not meant for Age group only limited age group will purchase.Read More
- Cant Compet HondaHello everyone - I am writing this review as i have bought my self a Hero Ignitor this month. ITS been 4 weeks of me buying this bike and the Gear box have problems in putting gears from the 4th to the 5th gear. White colour looks superub and i got lots of compliments for its looks, it actually looks like a bird flying when you are riding it. Apart from the looks, performance is not that great, if i compare its perfornance with Honda stunner ( which i think fits in this 125cc category) Honda takes the edge in performance. Hero's product shows that they are not good in engineering they are only good in customer service and after sales service. Biggest problem in Ignitor is its Gear box, please be aware about the gear box problem and consult the sales or mechnic person befiore you buy. FOr the first initial 1000 KMs it gave me a Mileage of 58Kms per litre, which is phenominally good as compared to stunner and the service person said it would increase after some Kms, but i think it would decrease. not sure abt it, but am expecting not more that 52 or 53.Read More1
- Excellent choice. Mileage, 67KMPLI brought "her", Hero Ignitor in July 2013, and I treat my bike like my woman. Just wanted to let you all know, that whatever is written in fuel efficiency row about this bike, is all fake. actually the bike will give you reading of 67KMPL if you put shell super in your bike, and 65KMPL if you put shell normal fuel in it. About bike economy : "She" produces 1500 RPM on shell fuels due to its slightly large density and slight change in natelite. Although, if you fill indian oil fuel, she will produce, 2000RPM, of course, its due to its low density, causing large supply of fuel to your bike, eventually will cause you to drop the mileage figure down to 55KMPL. Top speed : 100KMPH and she maxes out !!! So I dont think you will have any problem to buy this bike. About Gearbox bug : Good news !!! The bug of gearbox which was noticed in earlier ignitors, has been removed !!! (I did not find any bug with gearbox), make sure you will check manf date of the bike. ;) Appearance : Impressive, Unique. I said unique, because even girls know difference between a Honda stunner and Hero Ignitor, blind people don't. Comfort : Not bad. but will make you to tireout if you think about riding crazy, so dont try to perform any stunts on it. TIPs to get an avg around 65. 1. Always put "healthy" fuel to your bike, best choice : Shell super, "Rs88 PerLiter" (12_JA_2014), which is quiet affordable. 1. Always make sure, you will not cross 4500 RPM i.e. speed of 40KMPH 2. Do not try to "TEST" her limits till she crosses 2500 KM reading.Read More1
