Overview
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is Bajaj’s only fully faired motorcycle and it looks unique and bold compared to other sport bikes. It gained its popularity among young riders when it was first launched for its sporty vibe and cool design.
Design
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 looks sharp and has a very unique design. It has twin projector headlights, a sculpted fuel tank and a split-seat setup that give it a very aggressive stance.
Features
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 comes equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-projector headlights with LED DRLs, along with LED indicators and taillights. It gets dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike hasn’t received any significant update in terms of features in the past few years, except for the backlit switchgear. Bajaj should’ve at least updated the instrument console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation by now.
Riding Posture & Comfort
Even though it looks sporty, the Pulsar RS200 gives you a comfortable riding experience with its raised clip-on handlebars, rear-set footpegs and an upright riding position. The split seats are well-padded, allowing you to tour for long hours without getting tired. While the passenger is comfy compared to other bikes in this segment, the grab rails are basically a hollowed-out space inside the rear panel instead of conventional grab rails, which makes it a bit less secure.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is equipped with a 199.5cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 24.5PS and 18.7Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine is quite capable as it is a result of Bajaj-KTM partnership and is based on KTM’s 200cc engine that powers the KTM 200 Duke. The Pulsar RS200 gets a 13-litre fuel tank and offers a real-world tested mileage of 35kmpl. The motorcycle performs quite well while commuting in the city and feels stable on the highways even at higher speeds.
Handling & Ride Quality
The Pulsar RS200 has great handling characteristics and the suspension setup is well-tuned. It can easily weave through city traffic or handle curvy roads. It's comfortable to ride, striking a good balance between sporty handling and comfort.
