Royal Enfield produced its first motorcycle in 1901, in the United Kingdom. Fast forward to 1994, Eicher Motors acquired the brand completely, and is the current owner. Royal Enfield was primarily known for making retro-styled motorcycles, but now also makes an ADV and scramblers. It currently has 14 different bikes on sale. Royal Enfield’s biggest competitors are brands like Honda (for its retro bikes), Jawa and Yezdi Motorcycles, and entry-level retro-styled bikes from Triumph Motorcycles and Harley-Davidson.
