Overview
Keeping in mind the emotions of the cruiser bike lovers across the globe, Yamaha Motors introduced its powerful motorcycle VMAX to cater their needs. The bike has shown a decent sales records to the company and proved its worth in almost every aspect of motorcycling. The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled, four-valve, V-type four cylinder engine that displaces 1,679cc and generates a breathtaking power of 197.4bhp at 9,000rpm with a peak torque of 166.8Nm at 6,500rpm. The fuel injected mill is mated to a five-speed constant mesh transmission system and uses wet multiple plate clutch to transmit the power.
Yamaha VMAX runs on 120/70-R18 front and 200/50-R18 rear tubeless tyres that are mounted over stylish black alloy wheels. Its braking action is controlled by dual 320mm hydraulic disc brakes at the front and single 298mm disc brake at the rear. To make the ride even more soothing and comfortable, the company has fitted telescopic forks at the front and swingarm with an adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Coming to the body design, the front profile looks stunning with a rounded headlamp and some chrome element added to it. The fuel tank is chiselled to perfection that gives the bike a masculine shoulder. Further enhancement is done by the integration of stylish fuel tank cowls. Yamaha VMAX has a sporty and stylish step-up seat that looks scintillating. The overall measurement of the bike comes to 2,395mm x 820mm x 1,190mm (LxWxH) with a wheelbase of 1,700mm. With a 15 liter fuel tank and a minimum ground clearance of 140mm, the bike presents itself as a sharp tool for ultimate cruising experience. The total weight of the bike sums up to 310kg that is quite evident from its mammoth body and strong hardware assembly.
Design
Yamaha once again thrilled the automotive industry by releasing a delightful naked street monster christened as Yamaha VMAX. Built on a diamond-shaped aluminium frame, the bike is dynamically a treat for anyone who craves for a true supersports machine. The front profile gets a rounded headlamp which is fitted in a tilted fashion. The fuel tank is crafted neatly and comes integrated with edgy cowls on either sides that make it look even more muscular. The bike further boasts a sporty step-up seat that looks ravishing and stunning.
Coming to the rear end, the bike has an astonishing and curvy rear side panels that end up holding a pure LED tail lamp strip along with a stylish fender. The devil has body dimensions of 2,395mm x 820mm x 1,190mm (LxWxH) that blesses it with a meaner character. Coming to the wheelbase and minimum ground clearance figures, the bike shows some impressive numbers of 1,700mm and 140mm respectively that account for better handling and on-road stability. With a fuel tank of 15 liter capacity, the bike covers a decent range without frequent refuelling.
The instrument cluster of the bike is clear and informative that comes with a digital speedometer, twin tripmeters, fuel gauge and analogue tachometer. Some more useful elements also make their presence like clock, transmission gear position display, coolant temperature and stopwatch.

Yamaha VMAX has grippy 120/70-R18 tyre at the front and 200/50-R18 tyre at the rear that offer an enhanced stability and ride quality on the road. Moreover, these are tubeless tyre that do not deflate suddenly in case of a puncture giving a huge benefit to the rider. A pair of powerful 320mm disc brakes at the front and 298mm single disc at the rear gives a top notch bite and never fail under any emergency or strict braking conditions. The instrument console of the bike displays plenty of useful information like coolant temperature, gear position display, etc that also proves beneficial for the rider in many aspects. Engine, Mileage & Performance
The mighty 1,679cc powermill of Yamaha VMAX roars its aggression by releasing 197.4bhp of maximum power at 9,000rpm with a peak torque of 166.8Nm at 6,500rpm. The five-speed constant mesh gearbox operates via wet multiplate clutch setup with a one-down, four-up configuration. The well spaced gear ratios ensures an uninterrupted mid and high range power delivery. The liquid-cooled, four-valve, V-type four cylinder engine has a compression ratio of 11.3:1 with a bore x stroke ratio of 90mm x 66mm. It works with a TCI type ignition system to transmit the power to the rear wheels through shaft drive.

The fierce stopping power is provided by dual 320mm hydraulic disc at the front and 298mm single disc brake at the rear. Yamaha VMAX moves gracefully on 120/70-R18 front and 200/50-R18 rear tubeless tyres that are mounted over stunning black alloy wheels.
