Updated KTM 390 Adventure X Reaches Dealerships

Cruise control, switchable traction, among other features have been added to the 390 Adventure X

Quick Highlights:

  • Updated 390 Adventure X reaches dealerships ahead of its official launch

  • The bike gets updated electronics from the top-spec variant

  • Price is expected to be Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 more than the model it replaces

The updated KTM 390 Adventure X, dubbed the KTM 390 Adventure Plus has started reaching dealerships, indicating the launch is just weeks ahead. Here’s a quick overview about what the updated bike offers:

According to the images, the new bike remains unchanged in terms of the design, and retains the same paint schemes and graphics. Even though our dealer sources addressed the updated model as ‘390 Adventure Plus’, the ‘Plus’ marking is not seen anywhere on the motorcycle.

The bike is seen with an updated switchgear - same as the top-spec variant, and also gets the cruise-control buttons. According to the dealership sources, the new bike will also get IMU (inertial measurement unit)-based electronics such as cornering ABS, switchable cornering traction control along with three ride modes: Street, Rain and Off-road. All these new updates should help the motorcycle perform better than before.

All the mechanicals and underpinnings remain unchanged. The bike still gets a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup with a 100-section front and 130-section rear tyre. According to our dealership sources, the new bike could also get sintered Brembo brake pads as well. Originally the 390 Adventure X used to get normal organic brake pads at the front, which does not provide adequate braking performance in our experience. That said, with all these updates, the motorcycle is expected to be priced Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 more expensive than the model it will replace.

As of now, the KTM 390 Adventure X is priced at Rs 2,91,140 (ex-showroom Delhi), and if the expected premium and all the features turn out to be true, then the hike will be justified. It will make the 390 Adventure X an even better value-for-money ADV in India.

Best in segment

I am doing long ride on week end also for lite affordable i see many other options like Himalayan 450 but bit heavy for me so I choose ktm adventure because it's light weight easy to ride on highway also good feature of electrical side. On highway I am getting mileage of 30 to 37 kmpl depends on engine rpm this bike effortlessly crush on 120kmph to 140kmph with any engine stress also riding poser is good comfortable in city it's easy to manoeuvre in traffic. Here is my reason to choose ktm light weight good mileage best electric feature like riding mode cornering abs best tft counsel also you get accessories port bottom, also engine power is best in class no match for ktm. My First KTM - Powerful and comfortable

First time KTM owner. Wanted a bike mainly for highway touring and city rides. X plus felt balanced and practical not extreme offroad. Test ride at KTM helped decide. Always wanted a KTM but due to my tall height was waiting for a taller bike, which I got atlast Done around 4500kms already in 4 months. Very stable on highways and easily touches 150kmph. City riding is okay but heats up in traffic but that is expected because the engine is a highly compressed 400cc single cylinder. Mileage is 19-20 in city and around 28 in highways. Yes, I would recommend it for riders who want touring comfort, strong performance and balanced offroad ability. Good balance bike if your usage is city plus highways. It can easily handle even off-roading, you will be surprised by its performance and handling.Read More
