We recently reported that Bajaj is planning to launch its new flagship Pulsar CS400 in August 2016. Now, the upcoming bike has been spotted in black colour scheme for the first time and here are some detailed pictures of it.

First showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Pulsar CS400 concept took more than 2 years to take shape as a production model. There are some minor changes in the bike as compared to its concept, including the conventional front forks instead of the USD units. The single piece seat is replaced by a split type and the front disc brake has also been shifted from left to the right side of the wheel. Other interesting features of the bike include dual digital instrument panel, LED tail light, multi-unit headlamp and much more. The new alloy wheels are also similar to the concept model, and ABS could be offered as an option extra.

The Pulsar CS400 has been designed to provide the feel of riding a sportsbike with the comfort of a cruiser. The aim of the company with this new offering is to provide an ergonomic solution for your daily as well as long weekend rides. Powering the bike is a new 400cc motor with the configuration similar to the 390cc KTMs which are produced at Bajaj's facility in Chakan, Pune. Looking at the performance figures of the KTM motor, its Bajaj version can be expected to make around 41PS of power.

If we talk about the competition, the Bajaj Pulsar CS will stand against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Mahindra Mojo and over 400cc Royal Enfield motorcycles, including the Himalayan. The bike is expected to be priced below Rs 2 lakh (on-road).

Bajaj Dominar 400 (2016-2018) User Reviews
- Dominar 400I have been riding this bike for more then 6 years and have convered over 80000 km. The ABS has saved me many times and gives me a lot of condidence on the road. The maintenance cost os very low compared to bikes like the KTM 390 and others in the same segment and its east to find spare parts anywhere in Mumbai. When I decided to purchase this bike back in 2017 it was the best value for money option available and I have never regretted that decision to this day.Read More
