The EV sales showed substantial growth of 77 percent when compared to previous year

TVS Motor Company has recently released its sales report for March 2025. The Hosur-based manufacturer sold 4,14,687 units of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in March 2025, a significant 17% increase from 3,54,592 units in March 2024. Here’s a detailed break-up of the sales numbers:

    Two-Wheeler Sales

TVS’ two-wheelers showed promising growth with 4,00,120 units sold in March 2025, a 16% increase when compared to the sales figures from March 2024. In the Domestic market, TVS registered a growth of 14% in sales with 2,97,622 units sold in March 2025, as opposed to 2,60,532 units from March 2024.

Out of the above figures, the brand sold 1,96,734 motorcycles in March 2025, a good 15% growth in sales numbers when compared with 1,71,611 units from March 2024. The company launched quite a few new and/or updated variants of its existing lineup including the popular TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Raider 125. The Jupiter has always been TVS’ best-selling scooter, so the winning streak continues in the scooter segment as well.  TVS sold 1,66,297 scooters in March 2025, a healthy 27% increase in sales from 1,31,472 units in March 2024.

    Electric Two-Wheeler Sales

TVS sold 26,935 units in March 2025, a whopping 77% jump in sales when compared to March 2024’s 15,250 units.

The TVS’ electric line-up consists of the iQube and the X. While the X is a premium, niche scooter, most of the sales comes from the iQube range. Its decent real-world range, neutral design and good build quality certainly seems to push more buyers to go green.

    Year-on-Year Growth: FY 2024-25

During FY 2024-25 (April 2024 to March 2025), TVS’ two wheeler sales registered a growth of 12%, with 43.30 lakh units, 4.79 lakh units more than FY 2023-24 (38.51 lakh units sold).

    BikeDekho Says:

The TVS Motor Company has shown impressive growth in the Indian market in FY 2024-25. Now the new RT-XD4 engine platform will open new avenues for TVS starting with the adventure segment. TVS will launch the RTX300, its first adventure bike, possibly in mid-2025. All in all, the future certainly looks good for the Hosur-based company.
