TVS motors records a moderate growth of 2.43 percent in sales of November 2015

The Chennai based manufacturer, TVS motors has recorded a jump of 2.43 percent in its overall sales during the month of November 2015. The company has sold 225,401 units in the previous month as compared to 220,046 units recorded in the same month last year.

In the two-wheeler segment, the sales stood at 217,706 units in the last month as against 210,979 units that were sold in the November 2014 and registered a growth of 3.18 percent.

The scooters sales grew 22.21 percent with 76,043 units were sold in the last month as compared to 62,223 units in the same corresponding month last year. The marginal increase in the sales of scooter segment can be credited to the Jupiter 110cc scooter. While, the motorcycles segment records a decrease of 4.93 percent in the sales to 82,163 units in November 2015 as opposed to 86,424 units in November 2014.

Besides this, to improve their sales figures in the motorcycle segment, the manufacturer has geared up to re-launch the Victor brand in the country in the early part of next year.
