Triumph Scrambler 1200 India Launch Tomorrow

The British marque will be launching only the base variant in India 

• Scrambler 1200 XC gets LED lights, digital instrument cluster and keyless ignition.
• It is powered by the 1200cc parallel-twin engine from the Bonneville T120.
• It will go up against the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled and the Triumph Tiger 800. 

Triumph is set to launch the Scrambler 1200 in India tomorrow. The British marque will be launching the base XC variant instead of the hardcore XE variant. We have already ridden the new Scrambler 1200 XC and it is… wait, we can’t tell you that until tomorrow. 

Being an off-road focused motorcycle, the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC features 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel with tubeless Metzeler Tourance tyre setup. A telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear, both of which are fully adjustable, help soak up the bumps. Stopping power comes from 320mm discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. Powering the Scrambler 1200 XC is a 1200cc parallel-twin engine that churns out 90PS at 7400rpm and 110Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch.

Even though the XC is the base variant, it comes loaded with features. It gets LED lights at both ends, LED turn indicators, keyless ignition, engine immobiliser, a digital instrument cluster and a USB charging port. 

The upcoming Scrambler 1200 XC will be available in two paint options: Jet Black and Khaki Green. In terms of rivals, it goes up against the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled and the Triumph Tiger 800.
