As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Suzuki Motorcycle India has handed over ten units of its flagship small-capacity bike, the Gixxer SF 250 to the Gurugram Police department. In June 2018, the Japanese brand had given the Gurugram police the Gixxer SF.
Like the Gixxer SF, the Gixxer SF 250 patrol bikes also get a windshield. Features include a mic mounted up top for the PA system, as well as sirens and a pannier. The all-white bodywork gets ‘Police’ stickers on the fairing, windshield, and the pannier. The fairing doesn’t look as aerodynamic as the rest of the motorcycle, so it remains to be seen how it affects the dynamics of the bike at higher speeds. Gurugram Police adds 10 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 motorcycles to their squad
Gurugram, December 12, 2019: Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) a subsidiary of one of the world’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan today handed over 10 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 to the Gurugram Police as part of their road safety CSR initiative. The motorcycles were presented by Mr. Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India to IPS Mohammed Akil, Commissioner of Police, Gurugram in a ceremony held at at Commissioner’s office at Sohna Road, Gurugram.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “With road safety being a priority at SMIPL, we are pleased to associate with Gurugram Police and present them with Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 for their patrolling squad. These motorcycles are customized keeping in mind the department’s requirement and believe that added resources will support in maintaining law and order in the city.”
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 motorcycles will be used for regular patrolling by Gurugram police to maintain good governance in the city.
