Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) successfully conducted the second round of the Suzuki Gixxer Cup at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai from July 10 to July 12. The oldest racetrack in India was a fitting venue for this exciting race, with a large crowd of racers, friends, family and enthusiasts congregating during the extended weekend.

The participants were eager to observe the results of some interesting upgrades made to the Gixxer SF race motorcycles. Friday consisted of a busy schedule of back-to-back practice and qualifying sessions for the Novice and Open category riders, and racers got a chance to show off their skills and test their mettle.
Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. commented, “We were extremely pleased to witness how easily Novice and Open riders could maneuver the Gixxer SF, and how rider-friendly the bike was. The biggest advertisement and endorsement for any product is when customers are enthusiastic and enjoy using it. Suzuki is proud to promote motorsport culture in India and we hope to have even more riders participate in the coming rounds of the Gixxer Cup.”

After the first round of the Gixxer Cup which was held in May 2015, the riders were more accustomed to the motorcycles which resulted in better racing. Despite the fact that the Madras Motor Track was a faster circuit, the Gixxer SF motorcycles received very positive feedback from the riders, not only because of their exceptional handling characteristics and looks, but because of their leading lap-times around the circuit.
Due to the huge popularity of the Gixxer Cup and the overwhelming number of applicants, the novice category had to be split into two separate batches during the qualifying round to determine the final grid of the top 20 riders. An increasing number of riders have been encouraged to join this sport due to the extreme agility and user friendly features of the Gixxer SF. This is a positive indication of the growing interest in motorsport among young people.

Enthusiasts witnessed some spectacular racing on Saturday and Sunday, with neck-to-neck competition among riders not only for the podium, but also in the mid-field. The Novice round was the scene of intense racing for the top 4 positions, with the podium finishers from Round 1 scoring the same positions in both races.
The Open races were equally thrilling; the first race had a group of 4 leading riders who swapped places in the fight for the podium, chased to the finish by another group of 7 riders, who battled among themselves to get the lead positions. The second race upped the action with more overtakes than the mind could keep track of.

The Madras Motor Race Track also welcomed the only female racer - Swetha - to the Gixxer Cup series, showing the new series’ popularity and appeal among all motorcycle racers and enthusiasts in India.

- Mileage are good 👍 with few mantainanceThis best for interiors jobs person and comfortable and better for long range and Ii have this and it's good
- Meticulously Maintained BikeI'm offering my meticulously maintained bike for sale, boasting regular servicing and usage, and delivering remarkable mileage despite its age.
- Impresses On HighwaysWhile the engine impresses on highways, comfort for the pillion might be a concern. Nevertheless, with a commendable mileage exceeding 50 on highways, this 155 cc bike stands out in its class. There's potential for enhancement in safety features, particularly focusing on pedal functionality.Read More
- Nearly 23000 km covered 2018 BS4 And Excellent CarNearly 23000km covered the 2018 BS4 model. Quality parts are good, I got an accident an year ago with a car surprised that only my leg guard bent and little scratch on a tank. The car bonet was completely has broken. Pros:- 1. Good looking (especially tank size and look) 2. Good quality 3. We can cruise at speed of 65 to 85 on highway if no crosswind (we can go further but use windshield). However, am cruising around 65 to 75 speed in most case. 4. After 1 year, my exhaust sound is better (using motul engine oil, the engine is a little more smooth). 5. Breaking confidence is super (good breaking my bike equipped with dual disc no abs). Cons:- 1. Pillion seat is not good and also back seat and height is high (only zero fig.can sit there). 2. When hard braking rider moving to tank side. 3. The service cost is a little high. So, just buy a product from an authorized center and change yourself or with a local workshop.Read More6
