Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 Launch Timeline Revealed
The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is likely to be positioned as a premium electric bike in the Indian market
Quick News Highlights:
- Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is likely to be launched around March, 2026
- To be manufactured at the brand’s upcoming EV facility in Vallam Vadagal, Tamil Nadu
- Likely to be priced somewhere at around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom) mark
During Eicher Motors Limited’s business results of Q3 FY 2025 conference call, Royal Enfield revealed the launch timeline of its first electric bike – the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6. In the conference call, B Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield, said, “.… around the first quarter of 2026 will be the time where it will be hitting the market.”
The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 and S6 were unveiled at EICMA, back in November 2024, and the manufacturer had also mentioned that its first electric bike will be available in the spring of 2026 (which is from February to April, 2026). From both these statements, we can conclude that the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 could be launched by around March 2026. The first electric bike from Royal Enfield will be manufactured in the brand’s upcoming EV manufacturing plant in Vallam Vadagal, Tamil Nadu.
Royal Enfield’s CEO also mentioned that the brand is aiming to produce around 1.5 lakh units of the electric bike per year, and a monthly manufacturing target of 12,500 units. However, it seems to be quite an ambitious number, and production numbers will eventually depend on the market demand. For perspective, India’s most popular and best-selling electric motorcycle maker, Revolt Motors, could only sell less than 10,000 electric bikes in 2024. Vahan portal reported the registrations of 9,955 bikes last year.
Despite being built on a modern electric platform, the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 features a retro-inspired design. The electric bike comes with a round headlight, girder fork, and body panels that look like a fuel tank. Its battery pack is mounted where the engine usually sits. The battery pack also has cooling fins, which complement the bike’s retro-inspired looks.
Expected Price
We expect the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 to be positioned as a premium electric bike in the Indian market. It is likely to be priced somewhere at around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. While the bike doesn’t have a direct competitor in the Indian market, it will be an alternative to the Ola Roadster and the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 in the electric bike segment.
