Ola has plans to set up 1 lakh charging stations across 400 cities in India

Ola Electric seems to be slowly picking up pace as the company has just set up its first Hypercharger station in Bengaluru. Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Cabs, posted the update on his personal Twitter handle.

The Ola Hypercharger has two plug-in ports, which should allow charging two scooters at once. Overall, Ola Electric plans to set up 1 lakh charging stations across 400 cities in India. Moreover, it aims to expand across 100 cities with 5,000 chargers in the first year itself.

You can charge the Ola S1/S1 Pro for 75km in just 18 minutes using the Hypercharger. The Ola S1 has a claimed range of 121km and the Pro variant is said to offer 181km.

As of now, the booking portal for the Ola e-scooters is closed. However, you can register your slot right now for Rs 499 and pay the first instalment amount on November 1, which is when the bookings reopen. Read more about it here
