Okinawa Launches E-Vehicles In India

The e-automobile manufacturer will produce high-speed, zero emission and low-cost electric two-wheelers

Okinawa Autotech Pvt. Ltd. is a young automobile company that manufactures electric two-wheelers – that aim to match petrol vehicles in terms of power, speed and efficiency – for the Indian market. With a normal charging cycle duration of 6-8 hours, the upcoming models of Okinawa’s e-scooters can cover distances of almost 200kms. The zero-emission vehicles clock speeds of 55+kmph.

Okinawa offers dual charging systems to its customers –the normal mode takes around 6-8 hours, while the fast mode gets the vehicles running within a couple of hours. The vehicles are equipped with unique utility features like anti-theft alarm, speedometer, central locking smart controller (with EABS) and Eco and Power modes of operation. The vehicles come with alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, telescopic forks at the front and offer 150kg of loading capacity.

Okinawa’s vehicles are certified by ICAT and GOI as complying with regulatory standards. Moreover, most leading insurance companies are open to providing insurance cover to the company’s e-two-wheelers.
