New VinFast E-Scooter Patented In India
This one looks quite futuristic and unlike conventional e-scooters in India

The Vietnamese manufacturer, VinFast, is on a spree of patenting its two-wheelers in India, like the recently patented Rasad and the concept electric motorcycle Sulad. The new patented scooter doesn't look like any of its current offerings in the international market, which hints us, this might be an India-specific scooter from the brand.
What we know so far

From the design patent, we can see the scooter gets a flowing design. It gets a flat rider seat, and the pillion seat looks slightly elevated. It gets a raised handlebar, which could offer upright riding ergonomics. The front apron gets the brand badging, and the fascia of the scooter is minimalist, with a unique apron-mounted headlamp. The turn signals are neatly embedded in the apron itself, giving it a clean look. Also, the pillion footrest is nicely embedded on side skirts, giving the e-scooter a sharper side profile.
In terms of performance, the brand has not revealed the specifications. However, we can expect decent range, which should be more than adequate for city runs.

Features-wise, we expect the scooter to get a digital display and come with connectivity features such as Bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. In addition to it, we can expect ride modes, which alter the performance and range according to the mode selected.
The suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork, and the rear gets dual-shock absorbers; we can expect the shocks to be preload adjustable.
BikeDekho Says
There is no official confirmation from the brand on the launch of this e-scooter. The scooter patented doesn’t seem to be one of the brand’s existing scooters internationally. However, it could be an upcoming e-scooter. That said, a patent does not necessarily guarantee a launch. VinFast might have just registered the design for copyright protection.
With the recent signing of the letter of intent with more than 50 dealer partners, the brand is set to make a grand entry in the Indian EV space. It remains to be seen which scooters are launched from the get go.
