We recently came across spy shots of an upcoming Triumph 400cc bike, which we think might be called the Triumph Tracker 400 or Triumph Street Scrambler 400. The bike has a few similar design elements from the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X.. Here’s everything we’ve been able to make out from the spy shots.
The bike uses the same retro-style design language which we have seen on the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X. It gets the same round LED headlight, with the same fly screen that we have seen on the Triumph Scrambler 400 X. The tank shape is similar to what we have seen on the Speed and Scrambler 400 X.

However, the upcoming bike features a different-looking side panel, with a slight extension, most probably to display racing numbers. The bike also has the same, rugged-looking twin-muffler exhaust as the Scrambler 400 X. Lastly, the rear section feels different, with the tail light looking a lot more similar to the one on the Thruxton 400.
The bike seems to sport 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends, similar to the Triumph Speed 400. This means that the bike isn’t meant for hardcore offroading, and is likely going to be offered as a flat tracker style bike. This will offer customers a way to experience some styling bits from that genre without making the bike too tall or inaccessible for shorter riders.

The bike will likely be powered by the same 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 40PS at 8000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6500rpm. The sprocketing is likely to remain unchanged compared to the Speed 400.
We expect the bike to be launched around October this year. It could be priced somewhere around Rs 2.55 to Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing will keep the bike relatively affordable compared to the recently-launched Thruxton 400 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC. It will also allow it to be a middle-ground between the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X.
