New Jawa 42 To Be Launched Tomorrow
The upcoming model will likely get revised styling, new engine, colour options along with a host of other changes
Jawa will soon be updating the Jawa 42, as the new model is getting launched tomorrow. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming bike:
The latest teaser has given us a glimpse of what the new Jawa 42 will look like. The styling has been thoroughly revised with the fuel tank now being slimmer-looking and more rounded than before. The single-piece seat’s shape has been tweaked as well and looks sportier. The split grab rail’s design is different while the tail section’s shape has been retained from the 2024 model launched last month. The upcoming Jawa 42 will also get an upswept exhaust system, similar to that of the Yezdi Scrambler. Also seen in the teaser is that the bike gets a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers suspension setup.
We think that the new 42 will be powered by the Jawa 350’s 334cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine producing 22.5PS and 28.1Nm. Also, to support the new engine, the bike is expected to get a new frame as well. Dual-channel ABS, alloy wheels and a fully digital instrument console are expected to be available as standard. Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles might give the Jawa 42 a spoke wheel version, which will help keep the entry point of buying the bike at a more accessible range.
The upcoming bike is expected to get new colour options and the prices will likely vary according to the colour schemes. The price range is expected to be around the Rs 1.90 lakh - Rs 2.20 lakh mark (ex-showroom). Its rivals will be the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda H'ness CB350.
