The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL), has re-launched the Discover 125 with improved specification and features. The company has updated its official website with the new model and it has been priced at Rs. 52,002 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new standard features of the bike include front disc brake, 5-spoke alloy wheels, 30 percent wider (100/90) rear tyre, electric start, DC headlamp and the re-tuned 125cc engine for better mileage.

The new Bajaj Discover 125 looks almost similar to the older version, however, it looks refreshing with new decals. Propelling the bike is the same 124.6cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 2-valve, DTS-i engine, which was powering the older version. The motor makes 10.9bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and delivers a peak torque of 10.8Nm at 5,500rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox using a wet multi-plate clutch arrangement.

Bolted on a semi-double cradle frame, the Discover 125 comes with telescopic front forks and Nitrox suspension set-up at the rear. It runs on 17", die cast aluminium alloy wheels, which performs quite good in other motorcycles of the series as well. The motorcycle has a top speed of 100kmph and claims to return a CMVR certified fuel economy of up to 82.4kmpl.

Overall, the new Discover 125 is a complete package for those who want to own a feature loaded, 125cc, affordable motorcycle. Specifications and features of the bike are superior to the other 125cc commuters in the market. So, it could be a very tough competitor for the bikes like Hero Glamour, Honda Shine and TVS Phoenix.
