MV Agusta Brutale 800 Launching On July 19, 2017

At Rs 15.6 lakh (ex-showroom), the Brutale 800 is the most affordable bike offered by the Italian manufacturer in the Indian market



MV Agusta is all set to launch their naked streetfighter, the Brutale 800, on July 19, 2017. This is the second generation of the bike to be launched in the country. MV Agusta dealerships are accepting bookings for the motorcycle and the booking amount varies from Rs 4 to Rs 5 lakh. MV Agusta currently has three dealerships in the country in Pune, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. The ex-showroom price is 15.6 lakh as quoted by various dealers. The company will start deliveries for the motorcycle by August.



In terms of design, the Brutale 800 takes inspiration from the Brutale 1090 and looks pretty sharp. The oval-shaped headlight now gets the LED treatment. The bike is powered by a 798cc triple-cylinder motor that has been reworked to meet Euro 4 norms. The engine develops a maximum power of 110PS @ 11,500rpm and a peak torque of 83Nm @ 7600rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike gets an ALS steel tubular trellis frame while the rear swingarm pivot plates get aluminium alloy treatment.



Suspension duties are handled by 43mm Marzocchi USD forks with rebound compression damping and spring preload external and separate adjustment with 125mm fork travel at the front and progressive Sachs single shock absorber with rebound and compression damping and spring preload adjustment with 124mm wheel travel at the rear.



Braking is managed by dual 320mm floating discs with Brembo radial four-piston callipers at the front and a single 220mm disc with Brembo two-piston callipers at the rear. Bosch ABS system is offered as standard. The bike is shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso 120/70 R17 tyre at the front and Pirelli Diablo Rosso 180/55 R17 tyre at the rear. It gets a 16.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 175 kg. The maximum quoted speed is 237kmph.
