Mahindra Mojo Reaches Indian Dealerships, Will Cost Under Rs. 2 Lac

A few Display Units of Mojo have arrived at some Dealerships and the launch is expected to take place around the coming Dussehra.

The long five year wait for all those who were eagerly waiting for the naked street fighter from Mahindra is finally about to get over. Some Mahindra dealers across the nation have received a few units of Mojo for display purposes before the launch. The interested buyers can now get the touch and feel of the bike by visiting these dealerships and interestingly, they can see the bike even before its launch.

As per the dealership officials, Mahindra Mojo is expected to be launched around coming Dussehra, which falls on the 22nd of October. However, some rumours earlier suggested that the bike will be launched on 16th of October and the company have informed this to the buyers through emails who have booked the bike by paying the initial booking amount.

Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 300cc, single-cylinder motor that comes mated to a six-speed transmission. The engine generates a net power output of 27bhp at 8,000rpm along with a maximum torque of 30Nm at 6,000rpm. The bike rides on 110/70/ZR17 front and  150/60/ZR17 rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres that offer an exceptional grip. The suspension setup comprises of inverted telescopic forks upfront and offset monoshock at the rear. The braking is done with the help of 320mm disc brake at the front and 240mm disc brake at the rear. Mahindra Mojo will be available in following three colours -  Black, White & Black, Red & White.

The bookings for the bike have already commenced at a token amount of Rs, 10,000. Mahindra has also announced that it will be taking the first few Mojo buyers on a weekend trip. The company has recently launched the official website for Mojo on which interested riders can register for a free test ride, which is available in four Indian cities. According to the dealers, the Mojo will come at an estimated on-road price of Rs. 2 lac to stay competitive with its biggest rival-KTM 390 Duke.
