We are less than 15 days away from the biggest motoring show of the country, the Auto Expo 2016. Like its previous editions, this year's Auto Expo will also witness the launch of amazing products and unbelievable concepts. This year, Lohia Auto in ready to launch country’s first lithium-ion operated two-wheelers. Recently, the Delhi-based two-wheeler maker has confirmed it and also stated that this will be the first two-wheeler to be powered by a Li-Ion battery in India.

The company will also showcase India’s first, electric three-wheeler concepts and is ready to launch a new range of passenger & cargo e-rickshaw and diesel three-wheelers during the show.

While confirming the unveiling of these vehicles, Mr Ayush Lohia, CEO, Lohia Auto Industries said, “We will unveil our new range of electric two and three wheelers at India’s biggest auto show, Auto Expo and the introduction of our e-vehicles will give further momentum to the shift towards electric vehicles. We are confident that like our previous vehicles, these technologically advanced electric two-wheelers will also find a sizeable market, and generate measurable interest & demand across all prominent regions”.

"E-vehicles are clearly the favoured mode of transport in the near future since there is a pressing need to bring down the emission of harmful gases that are hurting the world climate and causing wide spread disruption in weather patterns. It is important that people are made aware about the advantages of e-vehicles over traditional means of transport and encouraged to make a switch so that we make our planet healthy once again for future generations.” he further stated.

These Li-Ion battery operated two-wheelers can reach the top speed of 25kmph and will be available in four colour options.

The 13th edition of Auto Expo will see the unveiling or launch of 80 new vehicles and is expected to be bigger and better than its older episodes. Other than Bajaj, Royal Enfield and Harley-Davidson, most of the other two-wheeler giants will participate in the event. There are rumours that Ducati might also miss the show.
