This is Kymco’s first soft-roading scooter in an otherwise road-friendly lineup

Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco is quite famous for its road-friendly scooters. This time, though, Kymco has stepped into the ADV maxi-scooter segment by launching the DT X360 scooter in international markets.

It retails at EUR 6,000 (approximately Rs 5.18 lakh) which is quite pricey by Indian standards, especially considering one can get the KTM 390 Adventure here for much less. However, the Kymco DT X360 has a lot going for it.

Starting off with the design, Kymco has taken a radical approach with the DT X360. It gets twin LED headlamps up front flanked by sleek LED indicators. The bodywork is chunky and comes wrapped in a black/orange colour scheme, lending the DT X360 a premium feel.

The Kymco DT X360 uses a one-of-a-kind digital instrument cluster. The setup employs three readouts with the left and right screens showing basic information like speed, service interval, and mileage, while the middle unit is reserved for connectivity features via the Kymco Noodoe app.

It is strong on practicality too. You get ample underseat storage (can hold two full-face helmets easily), two USB charging ports, keyless ignition, two cubby storages, and a big 12.5-litre fuel tank.

As for the powertrain, it uses a 320.6cc liquid-cooled motor that puts out 28.2PS and 30Nm. And if you do plan on taking it off the road, you have traction control and ABS on your side.

Sprung on a telescopic fork and twin dual shocks, the DT X360 rolls on 14-/13inch (F/R) tyres wrapped in dual-purpose rubber and clamped by petal disc brakes. It is quite hefty at 194kg, though.

Like the DT X360? Sadly, with Kymco having no plans to return to India anytime soon, owning a DT X360 in India is only a dream, for now.
