KTM 250 Adventure Spotted Testing Again

The picture of the spied test mule clearly shows its front fascia and some other crucial elements

  • The 250 Adventure will be the most affordable ADV from KTM.
  • Features a halogen headlamp, non-adjustable forks, what looks like a full TFT display and more!
  • Expected to be priced between Rs 2.30 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh.

A little over a week ago we brought you an exclusive story showcasing KTM 250 Adventure, which was spotted testing on Indian roads. The entry-level ADV bore the exact same styling as its elder sibling the KTM 390 Adventure, albeit, with a conventional halogen headlight up front. It also received some mechanical changes, which hinted towards its 250cc DNA. Now, the bike’s been spied once again showcasing its front fascia and some other crucial elements.

Much like the 250 Duke, the adventure touring sibling features a halogen headlamp surrounded by LED DRLs. In fact, if you discount the cladding, the headlight looks like its been picked straight off the 250cc streetfighter. The front also seems to have provisions for a small windscreen while the flared tank extensions suggest the bike may come equipped with a larger fuel tank befitting its touring nature.

What’s more? The 250 Adventure has been fitted with an engine guard, which appears to be borrowed from KTM’s official accessories list for the adventure series. For added convenience, the clutch and brake levers seem to be adjustable. We’ve already covered the rest of the changes in detail

In terms of powertrain, the 250 Adventure will come equipped with the same 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that’s seen on the Duke. However, the upswept end-can paired with a larger cat-con suggests the ADV is running a Euro 5/BS6-compliant engine. We aren’t aware of the power figures just yet, but we suspect the mill powering the tourer may be tweaked for better low- and mid-range punch. The current mill on the 250 Duke, for instance, produces 29.91PS and 24Nm, most of which is made up-top.

It’s expected to be launched towards the end of 2019 for around Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

KTM 250 Adventure has good suspension

This is a series of adventure motorbikes. The KTM 250 Adventure is lighter when placed alongside the royal enfield himalayan. Its meter console has a better outlook as compared to most of its competitive bikes. It has a good suspension and its back suspension is a bit harder than the front suspension. The riding ergonomics in this one is great. I consider it a bit overpriced.Read More
