The Japanese auto giant, Kawasaki is all set to launch its new 250cc, single-cylinder powered naked bike, christened as Z250SL. The bike is based on the recently unveiled Ninja 250RR Mono and it will be the company's latest offering in Indonesia soon.

Bolted on a tubular space trellis frame, Kawasaki Z250SL will be powered by a 249cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine, developing 27.6bhp at 9,700rmp and a peak torque of 23Nm at 8,200rpm. The engine will come mated with a 6-speed transmission for better control on power, while 263mm front and 193mm rear disc brakes will be sufficient for control over the speed.

Kawasaki has used conventional telescopic forks at the front, while the rear has got adjustable mono-shock with aluminium swing-arm. The bike comes with light weight, split-spoke alloy wheels covered by wide, radial tubeless tyres for better stability and performance. The bike will feature split seat, street handle-bar, digital console and might get the ABS as an optional equipment.

Kawasaki Z250SL will be the most affordable offering in Z series and will be positioned below Z250. The company might also introduce the bike in India as well with the other important markets and it will be placed under Rs. 2 lakh to compete with the existing offerings in the segment like KTM Duke 200 and Honda CBR250R.
