After a long impatient wait, Kawasaki has today launched two of its superbikes in India, the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-14R for Rs. 15.70 lakh and 16.90 lakh respectively. Kawasaki is present in India for a long time, and it is the first time when the manufacturer has pulled out its big guns in India. Kawasaki India has an annual capacity of manufacturing and assembling 5000 bikes annually. Kawasaki is planning to sell the ZX-10R and ZX-14R through a separate dealership network, so these superbikes won't be available at pro-biking showrooms.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, world's fastest and company's flagship bike uses a 1441cc engine, power output of 195bhp at 10,000rpm with rather impressive 162.5Nm at 7,500rpm. It is the most powerful production bike with a top speed of 334.99kmph, which is electronically restricted at 299kmph. The bike is capable to achieve 0-100kmph in just 2.62 seconds (the world's fastest car Bugatti Veyron does it in 2.46 seconds). It comes equipped with many latest technologies like- dual throttle valve, 3-mode Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system, power mode selection, ABS etc.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is powered by an inline-four, 998cc powerplant which thrusts out 194bhp of power and 112 Nm of torque. Top speed is limited to 299 km/hr. The bike gets power mode selection and is equipped with Sports-Kawasaki Traction Control (SKTRC) which has 3 modes along with an off mode. The bike has power modes to make it easy to ride – Full (100% power), Middle (75% power), Low (50-60% power). Supersport type ABS is optional.

Both Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-14R get Kawasaki Intelligent ABS KIBS (Kawaski Intelligent Anti-lock Braking System) as standard which reduces rear lift while braking. The bikes also come with Traction Control System, which makes both the bikes one of the safest ones in the world. The Ninja ZX-14R and ZZX-10R get dual semi-floating type petal disc brakes of 310mm giving it a top-class stopping prowess. Both the Ninjas also get fully adjustable rear and front shock absorbers.
So, with this a new chapter starts for Kawasaki in India and it will be interesting to see two fastest bikes Hayabusa and ZX-14R racing in Indian market for the no.1 spot.
Kawasaki Ninja 300 User Reviews
- A Budget BeastBeen using it for almost 5 years now and never had it left me on the road stranding. The bike is a superstar with almost 26-30 mileage, it is just an unbeatable combination of power and efficiency. Cornering is so much fun after I upgraded the three and barely I was ever unsatisfied with the looks and styling its got.Read More4 4
- Performance and reliabilityI chose Ninja 300 for its performance, strong top-end power as I was about passionate about riding. Its good beginner- friendly and revs without being jerky. Has comfortable ergonomics and is a balanced bike with reliability. So far engine was smooth and linear. Sporty but not aggressive and power is usable for city and highways. Longer rider are somewhat comfortable and is stable. Display and techs are basic and is slightly heavy. Braking could be sharper to some extent. Yes, I would recommend Ninja 300 for smooth, reliable and well-balanced to ride easily and still have fun on rides. It tend to have better performance but lacks some basic features which other bikes in the same segment offer.Read More4 2
- Smooth engine, strong highway performance and sporI choose this bike mainly because of its smooth engine and highway comfort. It feels very stable at high speed and gives confidence while riding. Looks are sporty and premium which I liked. In city suspension feels little stiff but I was ok with that compromise. Ride experience is mostly positive. On highways it feels planted and smooth even at higher speed. Handling is very good and cornering feels safe. Mileage is decent not too low not too high. In city traffic and bad roads you feel bumps little more. Yes I will recommend this bike to people who love riding on highways and enjoy sporty riding style. It is not for someone who want soft suspension or only daily city use. Buy it if you want performance and feel, avoid if mileage is main concern.Read More2 2
