When in India, one is not used to the news of an Indian bike being exported to other countries and when an Indian manufacturer exports a product to a technically much superior part of the world such as Japan it can be considered as a highly inspiring achievement. India’s very own Bajaj Auto have started the export process of KTM (made in India) motorcycles to the land where motorcycle giants like Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki subsist, Japan. Earlier this month, the beginning set of 125cc KTM Duke bikes were sent to Japan from its Chakan plant, near Pune. Bajaj Auto is a 47% stake holder in KTM and earlier KTM had no bike variants in 125cc segment, but the times have changed such that KTM is now sourcing its 125cc bikes from Bajaj Auto out in the global market.

With this a milestone has certainly been reached in the automotive industry of India. Bajaj Auto has definitely made India proud. Congratulations Bajaj Auto. Bajaj Auto is also responsible for the current 1000 a month sale of KTM Duke 200cc sports motorcycle in Indian market. The sales of these bikes are done at Probiking stores that Bajaj Auto has established for selling high end sports bikes. KTM and Kawasaki Ninja bikes will be sold in these stores, now called the KTM Stores. Development of KTM Duke 200 and Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS began at the same time. Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS has been assertively priced at Rs 84,096 and will compete efficiently against Honda CBR 250R and Yamaha R15 in the sports bike segment in India.
