Differences include new hardware, features and slightly revised graphics

Bajaj has launched the updated 2023 Pulsar NS160 with a bunch of upgrades over the 2022 model. All that’s different with the motorcycle now have been listed below.

While the aggressive styling and sporty body design have been retained from the 2022 model, the 2023 NS160 flaunts revised graphics for the White colour scheme and also gets a new Black & Red shade. The 2022 model is also available in red, blue and grey colours.

The new Pulsar NS160 is built on a perimeter frame that is linked to a 33mm upside-down fork and a pre-load-adjustable monoshock. On the other hand, the 2022 bike gets a telescopic fork.

Braking on the new bike is done via a single 300mm circular disc up front clamped by Grimeca callipers, and a 230mm disc at the rear, with the safety net of dual-channel ABS, borrowed from the Pulsar 250 twins. The older model features a 260mm petal disc up front paired with ByBre callipers and single-channel ABS as standard.

Both roll on 17-inch wheels, however, the 2023 bike gets 100/80 and 130/70 section MRF Nylogrip Zapper rubber at the front and rear, respectively. Whereas, the model year 2022 bike runs 90-section front and 120-section rear tubeless tyres.

The engine remains the same –  160.3cc air-/oil-cooled motor with fuel-injection. It produces 17.2PS and 14.6Nm.  The updated NS160 is BS6 Phase 2 ready.

Both get a semi-digital instrument console, which in the older model displays speed, revs, fuel level, clock, odometer and trip meter readings. The updated bike gets a slightly revised console and shows gear position, real-time mileage and distance to empty readouts. However, it misses out on smartphone connectivity and navigation.

In terms of pricing, the 2023 NS160 costs Rs 1,34,675, commanding a premium of Rs 9,561 over the 2022 model’s  Rs 1,25,114 price tag (both ex-showroom Delhi).
