In terms of underpinnings, the Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 share the same hardware. Suspension duties are taken care of by a 43mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, both from WP Apex. Braking hardware consists of 320mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard. Apart from their ergonomics, there are some minor differences between the two motorcycles. For starters, the Svartpilen’s wheels get eight spokes while the Vitpilen gets five. Additionally, the Vitpilen uses MRF RevZ C1 tyres while the Svartpilen rolls on MRF RevZ D dual-purpose rubber.

Both bikes are priced at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the brand has stated that this pricing is an introductory offer, so expect a price hike in a few months. Currently, the Husqvarna twins sit right in between the newly launched Dominar 250 (Rs 1.60 lakh) and the KTM 250 Duke (Rs 2 lakh). Wondering which one suits your needs the best?
