Benelli Leoncino 250 Highlights
According to sources, Benelli will get the 2020 Leoncino 250 and TNT 350 to India by early 2021. The 2020 Benelli Leoncino 250 has been launched abroad. It features new colour schemes but the mechanicals have remained unchanged. For more details, head to our detailed report. The Leoncino 250 was priced at Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, but is currently no longer available since it does not comply with BS6-emission norms.
The bike carries over the same design language as the Leoncino 500, albeit with more compact proportions. It’s powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine, which belts out 25.8PS at 9250rpm and 21.2Nm at 8000rpm in its current state of tune. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm upside down fork and a monoshock at the rear. Anchoring the Leoncino 250 is a single 280mm petal disc up front and a 240mm petal disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard. Its 17-inch wheels come wrapped in 110-section front and 150-section rear tyres. In terms of rivals, it goes up against the Suzuki Gixxer 250, Honda CB300R, Bajaj Dominar 250 and the KTM 250 Duke.
