The Svartpilen is a street scrambler while the Vitpilen is designed with cafe racer genes. Both bikes share the same BS6-compliant 248.76cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled mill, with 30PS of power and 24Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch.

In terms of hardware, the Svartpilen and Vitpilen share the same 43mm upside-down fork and a monoshock, both from WP Apex. Its braking setup comprises 320mm disc up front mated to a radially mounted calliper and a 230mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard. Both bikes feature 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels, however, the Svartpilen gets eight spokes while the Vitpilen gets five. Additional differences lie in the tyres. Where the Vitpilen uses MRF RevZ C1 tyres, the Svartpilen rolls on MRF RevZ D dual-purpose tyres.

Expect Husqvarna to increase the price of the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 in the coming months to eventually match the KTM 250 Duke BS6’s price point.
