Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xtreme 200S at Rs 98,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That’s an attractive price for a faired  200cc motorcycle. Suzuki Intruder 150 ABS (Rs 1.01 lakh):
Yes, you can also buy a cruiser for just Rs 3,500 more than the price of the Xtreme 200S. The Intruder looks quite polarising but manages to grab a lot of attention on the road. Its low seat height is well suited for shorter riders and given that it is based on the Gixxer’s frame makes it a brilliant handler. Making 14.8PS and 14Nm from its 155cc air-cooled motor, the Intruder might be low on power but is refined and quite fuel efficient.

Suzuki Gixxer SF FI ABS (Rs 1.01 lakh):
This is another offering from Suzuki is the Gixxer SF. This faired bike shares its 155cc air-cooled powerplant with the Intruder and makes the same 14.8PS and 14Nm. It is low on power but impresses with its highly refined and fuel efficient manners thanks on account of being fuel injected. It gets a full-digital instrument console bit misses out on the LED headlamp. It is available in an attractive livery that manages to make it stand out from the crowd.

Hero launched not just the Xtreme 200S but also the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T. It is available in two trims: Carburetted (Rs 97,000) and FI (Rs 1.05 lakh). Our pick of these two would be the fuel injected one. The XPulse is powered by the same 199.6cc motor but gets fuel injection. It makes the same  18.4PS and 17.1Nm of torque but gets a shorter final drive to give it better initial acceleration. It is loaded with kit and gets 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels with dual-purpose tyres, long travel suspension, front beak, windscreen and rear rack. Other features include LED headlamp, LED tail lamp and a digital instrument console it shares with the Xtreme 200S. This is the most affordable adventure bike available in India right now.
