Hero Xtreme 160R To Get Its Biggest Update Today
New hardware, design tweaks and more expected from Hero’s naked

The updated Hero Xtreme 160R is finally coming our way today. With Hero putting up not one, but two teasers for it, the anticipation for it is high, and for good reason.

For starters, teasers and previous spy shots both have revealed that the bike will get a lovely golden inverted fork, something that should make an already good handler an even better one. What teasers have also disclosed is that the Xtreme 160R will now get a 4-valve engine, which should bump up its output figures slightly too which currently stand at 15.2PS and 14Nm. It would now be E20 and OBD 2 compliant as well. Along with these things, we expect Hero to throw in some design changes as well as some new colours to make the bike look even better.
And that brings us to the most crucial part: its price. The Xtreme 160R’s prices currently begin from Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and we expect the upcoming model to demand a premium of around Rs 5,000 over this. Here’s a detailed analysis of why we think so. That said, only time will tell what the exact bike will be like. So stay tuned to BikeDekho as we’ll be bringing you the bike’s launch news as soon as possible today.

- Hero Xtream 160RBest-in-class power/weight , sharp handling, excellent city commute agility, and decent mileage (40 kmpl).Backed by Hero's huge, low-cost service network for worry-free ownership. I also think that it is the best bike in this segment. City king Its so light and flick able filtering traffic is effortless. This bikes pickup is a genuine thrill and I still get 40 kmpl easily. Minor fuzziness past 95 kmph and the digital console is tough to read in harsh sun. Best fun commuter buy. I recommend it because its the best value for daily riders. It has the fastest city acceleration in its class and doesn't compromise on mileage it has a decent mileage with 40 kmpl . Plus Hero's service is cheap and parts are easily available.Read More
