Hero MotoSports Dakar Rally Team is coming to Hero's Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur and we are going to meet them.

The leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp (HMCL) entered international-level rally racing this year in May with Hero MotoSports Team Rally. Representing the team are riders CS Santosh, the off-road motorcycle star from India, and Joaquim Rodrigues, a rookie in rally sport from Portugal. And it aims to dominate the 2017 season of the world's toughest motorcycle rally championship, Dakar Rally. Now, the company is organising a press meet on September 18-19, 2016, at its Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT), Jaipur, where we will get to meet the Hero MotoSports team.

To enter the world of motorcycle racing, HMCL has formed a strategic partnership with Speedbrain GmbH, the German off-road racing specialist. The team will be riding on the upgraded version of the successful Speedbrain 450 rally bike, which might also be showcased at this press meet. The team will talk about its future strategies and its presence in the upcoming international rally championships. However, the main focus of the event will be on the participation in the 2017 Dakar Rally.

The new research & development centre of HMCL, CIT, plays a major role in the company's running and future innovations. It is also going to play a vital role in the advancement of their rally motorcycle for the future championships. And that could be the reason of organising this Hero MotoSports Rally Team event at the CIT. Besides the design and development facility, the centre features a 16km test track with 45 different type of surfaces to examine its innovations. Surely it is a one of its kind facility in the country which is self-sufficient for new product design, prototype manufacturing, testing and validation.
