Hero has launched a new variant of the HF Deluxe called the HF Deluxe Pro at Rs 73,550 (ex-showroom). This new variant is now the top-end model in the HF Deluxe range, and it comes with a few changes compared to the earlier top-end version, the HF Deluxe i3S with electric start.
This variant now gets a digital instrument console, which shows the speed, time, fuel-level, trip and odometer readings. It also comes with an LED headlight, and more stylish graphics that sets the bike apart from the other variants.
This one also gets the i3S system, also known as idle-start-stop feature. This stops the engine while idling for some time, and the rider can turn it back on by pulling the clutch. This system helps in saving fuel, and thus improves the bike’s mileage while riding through city traffic.
Other than the addition of the i3S and design changes, the bike remains unchanged compared to the other variants of the Hero HF Deluxe. The bike is still powered by the same 97.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 7.9PS and 8.05Nm.
The underpinnings also remain unchanged, and the bike is still built on the same dual-cradle frame. It is still suspended on the same telescopic fork and twin-shock absorber setup. It rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels at both ends, and drum brakes at both ends.
Compared to the previous top-end variant, the Hero HF Deluxe Pro variant is Rs 2,282 more expensive. The newly launched HF Deluxe Pro slots between the more premium looking Hero Passion Plus and the Hero Splendor Xtec variants, while offering decent features at a much lower price point. Its closest alternatives will be the Bajaj Platina 100, and the TVS Sport.
