Hero MotoCorp recently launched the most feature-packed variant of the Glamour, called the Xtec. It is priced at Rs 78,900 (for the drum brake-equipped variant) and Rs 83,500 (for the disc brake version) -- Rs 4,000 and Rs 4,800 more expensive than the drum and disc brake-equipped versions of the standard variant, respectively. A Tech-savvy Instrument Cluster
The Hero Glamour Xtec comes with a full-LCD instrument cluster similar to the one in the Hero XPulse 200. And like the ADV, this one also gets a Google Maps-powered turn-by-turn navigation. It shows the direction and the distance at which turns need to be made. There are phone calls and SMS alerts on display too.
Hero has also equipped the console with an ‘Eco’ mode indicator to give you an idea of how fuel-efficient your riding style is. This, coupled with the real-time mileage indicator, should give you a fairly accurate idea on the remaining range. The console gets a tachometer, gear position indicator, clock, service reminder, odometer, and tripmeters. The tell-tale lights include left and right indicators, high-beam, side stand alert, neutral and i3S indicator, and an engine check light.

Additionally, there’s a USB charging port right below the console. That said, you’ll have to buy an aftermarket mobile phone holder to make good use of the socket.
Unchanged But Feature-packed Powertrain
The powertrain specifications have remained the same in the Glamour Xtec. Like the standard model, it also produces 10.87PS and 10.6Nm. Hero has equipped the bike with Auto-Sail technology, which is essentially a low-rpm assist that comes in handy while the bike is crawling at low speeds in traffic-riddled roads. For extra safety, there’s a side-stand engine cut-off function and a bank-angle sensor that shuts off the engine in case of a fall.
Upmarket But Stealthy Looks
The most prominent part of the Hero Glamour Xtec has to be the all-LED headlamp. Hero says the new headlamp offers a 34 percent better light intensity than the halogen one. It goes well with the subtle colour schemes of Matte Axis Grey and Glossy Black. The sleek pinstripes running across the side give the commuter a unique look, and the 3D logos on the fuel tank exude a premium appeal. The motorcycle also gets either white or blue rim stickers depending on the colour scheme.
All in all, the Hero Glamour Xtec is a well-equipped motorcycle capable of acing the 125cc segment as none of its rivals get useful features such as navigation, low-speed assist, and the likes. It competes with the Honda SP125 and the Bajaj Pulsar 125.
