Gallery: Triumph Bonneville T4 In Detailed Real-life Images

Take a closer look at the base variant of baby Bonnie

Triumph India recently launched the Bonneville T40 range in India. The retro roadster gets three variants, the T4, T40 and T40 Black. The base T4 variant is priced at Rs 2,54,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). While it doesn't hold back in terms of performance, it gets limited features and a more minimal design. Here is all you need to know about the T4:

Looks

The design is heavily derived from the bigger Bonnevilles, like the T100 and T120. It gets retro elements like a round LED headlight, taillight and indicators, spoke wheels, twin shock absorbers, and pea-shooter exhaust. The monotone colours keep the overall design simple and graceful.

Details

  • Chromed mirrors, fuel filler caps and grab-rail add a premium touch

  • Overall design looks compact and approachable

Colours

The bike is available in three monotone shades: Phantom Black, Carnival Red, and Competition Green. We covered all the colour options in detail in our Triumph Bonneville T40 colours explainer.

Details

  • Minimal shades ranging from vibrant to understated look

  • All colours get contrasting silver or golden accents on tank dispensing on the variant.

Engine

The Bonneville T4 shares the same engine as the other 350 cc Triumphs with a revised cylinder head and camshaft for different tuning. It makes 29 PS at 7,000 rpm and 31.2 Nm at 5,500 rpm with a 6-speed gearbox. A taller gearing is provided by the brand for better mid-range performance over quick acceleration.

Details

  • These updates give the T4 a great highway cruising and relaxed city riding capabilities.

Features

The feature list of T4 is quite impressive. It gets a circular LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and call/text alerts. The bike also gets three ride modes and a USB charging port. For safety it gets dual-channel ABS, traction control and panic brake alert lights.

Underpinnings

Keeping retro looks in mind, it has a telescopic fork and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers with 130 mm wheel travel at both ends. It gets a 310 mm disc with a twin-piston calliper at the front and a 255 mm disc with a single-piston calliper at the rear. The seat height is 790 mm, the fuel tank capacity is 14 litres and the kerb weight is 195 kg.
