Evolet will soon launch India's first fully-faired electric motorcycle. We take a closer look

Evolet recently launched three electric scooters and one electric quad bike in India. They also have plans to launch a few electric motorcycles, an electric maxi scooter and even an electric bus! Whats interesting is one of their upcoming electric motorcycles, the Hawk could be India's first full-faired electric motorcycles. An electric equivalent of the Suzuki Gixxer SF if you will. Here's what we know about this upcoming faired electric motorcycle.

The big news will be the full fairing. While the Revolt RV300 and RV400 hold the distinction of being India's first electric motorcycle, they are more of naked streetbikes. The Evolet Hawk meanwhile gets a full-fairing which makes it more of an electric sportsbike.

In terms of design, the Evolet Hawk looks strikingly similar to the petrol-powered previous-generation Suzuki Gixxer SF. The fairing, headlamp shape and mirrors have similar lines as the 150cc motorcycle.

The headlamp gets a projector setup with LED DRL's on the side. It also gets fairing-mounted LED turn indicators.

Premium touches include brushed aluminium finished emblems on the fairing.

The Evolet Hawk has a mass-forward design and a minimalist looking tail section. The number plate is mounted on the rear tyre hugger and partially covers the hub-mounted motor as well.

The Evolet Hawk gets clip-on handlebars which should help offer a sporty riding position. It also gets a fully digital instrument console.

Evolet has not revealed any technical details about the battery pack of the motor. We expect the Hawk's specs to be close to the Revolt RV300. This could mean a battery range of around 150km and a top speed of around 80kmph. The battery pack also gets fins and vents on the side to aid cooling.

Suspension setup includes conventional forks and rear monoshock. Interestingly, the Evolet Hawk gets a twin-disc brake setup at the front with a single disc at the rear. It could most likely come with combined braking. When launched the Evolet Hawk could get locally sourced tyres like MRF's.
