Ducati Diavel Diesel Edition Launched

Ducati India has launched the Diesel edition of the popular Diavel power cruiser at Rs 19.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Ducati designers have endowed the Ducati Diavel with such styling that it is bound to grab your attention and is among the most striking motorcycles on sale in India. But if you’re not only a biker but also a fashionista, the Ducati Diavel Diesel has it covered for you. The new motorcycle is the outcome of a collaboration between Andrea Rosso, the creative director of Diesel Licenses, and the Ducati Design Center. Ducati India has launched the limited-edition Diavel Diesel in India at Rs 19.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Production of the bike has been limited to just 666 units to maintain exclusivity. The Ducati Diavel has always been a mean looking motorcycle but for the Diesel version, the bike gets more of an industrialist design which in Ducati’s words is post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic. The fuel tank gets brushed steel finish with exposed welds and rivets to give it a raw feel lest you think its shoddy fit and finish. The same finish has been given to the front cowl, and passenger saddle cover. The saddle also gets aged leather finish and flaunts the pyramid motif, signifying the three Ds of Ducati, Diavel, and Diesel.

The lateral air intake covers, made of red methacrylate, flaunt the Diesel logo on the inside. The Ducati Diavel Diesel’s exhaust system is a twin megaphone unit that has been treated with black Zircotec ceramic coating on the tubes. The black silencers adorn billet end-caps bearing the pyramid logo.

Powering the bike is a 1,200cc, L-Twin Testastretta engine, mated to a six-speed gearbox, delivering 164PS of peak power and max torque stands at 130Nm. Talking about electronic aids, the Diavel Diesel gets Ducati Safety Pack (ABS and Ducati Traction Control) and Riding Modes.
