Performance bikes are the hottest demands of the Indian bike lovers currently. Indian two wheeler market is astir with such bikes. Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Honda CBR250, Bajaj Pulsar 200NS are few that are selling hot here in India. To give them a tough competition, DSK-Hyosung has today launched GT250R. This is the first launch from the stable of DSK-Hyosung; Hyosung has very recently partnered with DSK in India. Together they plan to boom the 250 cc bike market with GT250R. The latest entrant, Hyosung GT250R, has been launched in Mumbai today.  This well-sculpted sports monster has been priced at Rs. 2.75 (ex-showroom, Delhi). For a bike like this, it is quite reasonable. The bookings, however, have been opened up to customers some time back. To draw customers, the company has given few luring finance offers too.

The bike, however, is quite similar to Hyosung GT650R, which was launched in India the previous year. An impressive 17 L tank, twin disc brakes, 4-stroke oil cooled V-twin engine, an engine that roars at 28 bhp at 10,000 RPM, beating at a torque of 22 Nm at 8000 RPM is what the machine has to offer you. You can vroom from 0 to 100 kmph in about 10 seconds riding this bike. To complement this air-speed, it gets 17" Shinko tyres to maintain a traction on any given terrain. Other accessories are well provided.

The front of the bike gets upside-down telescopic forks, while the end has been gifted with an adjustable monoshock. Hyosung wins hearts when it comes to fuel efficiency. When running in traffic, it runs at 26.4 kmpL, while on a highway it swifts along at 33.5 kmpL. However, clutch control of the bike, it seems, has been left ignored by the company, though it can be said that other high-gaining points hide this one damper pretty easily. GT 250R will compete well with Honda CBR250R, which stands at Rs, 1,44 lakhs and is in fact way faster than GT 250R.
