Expect the bike maker to unveil the quarter-litre sportbike in the international markets in the coming few months

  • The fully faired variant is based on the 250NK.
  • CFMoto has confirmed that they will launch the 300SR in India, instead of the 250SR.
  • Expect the 300cc bike to be priced at around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

It seems that CFMoto is nearly ready to unveil its quarter-litre supersport to the world as an image of the 250SR was revealed on the internet. However, the Chinese bike maker could launch it in India with a 292cc engine like the 300NK. We have already seen this bike’s race-spec variant and a fully blacked-out production version. Now, the new image reveals that the upcoming bike could come in a white/black paint scheme.

The CFMoto 250SR is based on the 250NK, which is a naked variant in the manufacturer’s model lineup. While the suspension and brake setup is likely to be the same between both models, the company has altered the swingarm. The 250NK comes equipped with a tubular swingarm, but the fully faired variant features a box-section swingarm.

As previously mentioned, CFMoto officials had confirmed that they are not planning to bring any 250cc bike in India. So, expect the bike maker to bring a fully faired version of the 300NK, which could be called the 300SR. The upcoming motorcycle will carry forward the same cycle parts as the naked variant. It will be powered by a 292cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that belts out 28PS of power and 25Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed transmission.

CFMoto is likely to unveil the fully faired motorcycle at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo, along with two all-new 400cc bikes, the 400NK and the 400GT. Read our detailed story on the company’s upcoming India plans.
