Upcoming Hero Xpulse 421 Teased Again: To Be Unveiled At EICMA 2026

The bigger Xpulse looks quite smashing in the latest teaser

Quick Highlights:

  • Upcoming Hero Xpulse 421 teased

  • Expected to be unveiled at EICMA 2026

  • Could be launched in early 2027

Hero MotoCorp has teased the upcoming Xpulse 421 through its social media channels, giving us another glimpse of its new flagship adventure motorcycle. The short video shows the bike being ridden across some challenging terrains, highlighting its off-road capabilities. The motorcycle appears to be the same heavily camouflaged test bike that was spotted on Indian roads earlier. The Hero Xpulse 421 is expected to be unveiled at EICMA 2026, with an India launch likely in early 2027.

What Does The Teaser Reveal?

While the motorcycle remains covered in camouflage, the teaser gives us a glimpse of its adventure-focused design. It gets a tall windscreen, a large fuel tank, spoke wheels, long-travel suspension and a high-mounted exhaust. The bike also appears to have generous ground clearance and an upright riding stance, which should make it suitable for long-distance touring and off-road riding.

Engine And Hardware Expectations

The upcoming Hero adventure tourer will be powered by an all-new 421 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. Hero hasn’t revealed its performance figures yet, but we expect it to offer performance similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure S.

The engine is expected to be housed in a steel trellis frame, while the suspension setup appears to feature long-travel units at both ends. The test bike also gets a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup, wrapped in Metzeler Tourance dual-purpose tyres.

Expected Features

In terms of features, the Xpulse 421 is expected to get all-LED lighting and a large TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. Other expected features include ride-by-wire, a bidirectional quickshifter, switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control and multiple riding modes.

Expected Price And Rivals

Once launched, the Xpulse 421 will become Hero’s flagship motorcycle. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure S. With testing seemingly progressing well, the motorcycle could be one of the major highlights of Hero’s EICMA 2026 showcase. Its India launch is expected to take place in early 2027.
