Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover: Gets A More Affordable Variant

Misses out on tech, but gets much more affordable

Quick Highlights

  • New variant of the X-47 Crossover launched

  • Costs Rs 15,000 less than the Original variant

  • Misses out on a few important features

Ultraviolette has expanded the X-47 Crossover motorcycle lineup with the introduction of a new entry-level variant. It is simply called the X-47, this version is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it the most accessible model in the range. It is Rs 15,000 more affordable than the Original variant of the e-bike (which previously was the base the variant).

Ultraviolette X-47 Variants

Price (ex-showroom, Delhi)

X-47

Rs 2.49 lakh

Original

Rs 2.64 lakh

Original Plus

Rs 3.09 lakh

Recon

Rs 3.59 lakh

Recon Plus

Rs 4.09 lakh

Desert Wing

Rs 4.59 lakh

The biggest change in the new variant is the absence of Ultraviolette’s Hypersense radar technology. This results in lack of advanced rider-assistance features: blind-spot detection, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts, and rear-collision warnings. By removing these features, Ultraviolette has managed to lower the price while keeping the motorcycle’s core package intact.

This new variant could appeal to riders who want the X-47’s performance and design but are not particularly interested in radar-based electronic aids. It also offers a more traditional riding experience while helping reduce the overall purchase cost. Despite the lower price tag, the motorcycle remains mechanically identical to the higher variants. Power comes from the same 27kW electric motor, which delivers a claimed top speed of 145kmph. Ultraviolette also claims a 0-60kmph sprint time of 2.8 seconds.

The X-47 continues to use a 7.1kWh battery pack, with a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Condition) range of 211km on a single charge. Now with the arrival of this new version, the X-47 family now consists of six variants, ranging from the Rs 2.49 lakh for the X-47, all the way up to the top-spec Desert Wing edition priced at Rs 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This gives the buyers a wider spread of features and price points to choose from.

Personal review of owning x47 for 9 months

Compare the ICE bike this feel more similar feel and more over petrol issue, I had scooty it got damaged for E20 petrol so I don't want that engine issue for new bike. More over I saved 35000 in petrol for 8 months. That make feel happy, I never knew the daily commute cost charge it up and ride. So far in my journey with bike I travel almost 8000KM where dynamic are good no hardware level issue saved allmost 35k of petrol and I feel sometimes it consume more time for charging software issue are there, in this bike that issue I faced and accessories it placed in very expensive. You need for short travel and few long trip around 250km it can do it But it is hard for long ride for 350 plus in single day It charging u need boost charge it 40k, It make more expensive my conclusion you have short daily ride and company provide free charging in their showroom. V good bike

Premium build, starts from 2.5 to 4 lakh. Price increase with warranty and range. I chose for few reasons 1) hill control 2) regent breaking 3) aesthetics) Premium build 4) Indian start up 5) very low centre of gravity 6) sticks to road due to heavy weight and traction control. Very comfortable, bit costly but worth it, service is good. They visit home to serve by taking 10 rs per km. Low maintenance, shockers are very good, load of safety features, hill hold , very practical feature, park assist, regent breaks, traction control. Daily ride is minimum 30 km, saves petrol if you ride more, home charging facility. For touring one way 170 km is ok, to charge and return back. Very economical, though initial investment is more, but if you ride heavily you will find it cheap in long run. Warranty for recon plus ( rs 4 lakh) goes to 8 lakh km or 8 years by paying 45000 extra, Without that its 5 year or 5 lakh km.Read More

Best purchase of my life

Awesome power delivery and safety features. Best for city commuting and also medium offroading. Pillion riding is also good. Add on features like tpms and rear and front camera is like a good upgrade. Original variant is enough for a guy with daily ride of 70km per day average. For long touring and if having range anxiety go for recon or recon plus model. I plan my rides properly so i all end up only using at 20 percentage remaining. Best for bad roads and cities and also highways. This bike is a cross over so any rider can choose it for there benefits. It has got switchable traction control as well as abs also. Best range is achieved in the city with regeneration on at level 9.Read More
