If you are planning to get the new RC 160 on loan, this EMI guide will help you make the right financial decision

New KTM RC 160: EMI Buying Guide

KTM recently launched the all-new RC 160 in India, at a price of Rs 1,85,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it one of the most affordable fully-faired bikes in the country and also the cheapest fairest KTM bike. If you are planning to buy the KTM RC 160, here’s how much EMI you will have to pay, considering a downpayment of Rs 30,000:

    2-Year Loan Tenure

Considering an average loan interest rate of about 9% for 2 years, the EMI comes to Rs 8,640. This means you’ll be paying a total sum of Rs 2,07,360 over 24 months. That plus the downpayment brings the final cost of the bike to Rs 2,37,360.

While the EMI may feel slightly higher for a shorter tenure, the advantage is that the loan gets cleared off quickly, and the buyer pays less in interest compared to longer repayment options.

    3-Year Loan Tenure

For people preferring lower EMI cost, the 3-year loan option brings the monthly payment down to a slightly more affordable amount of Rs 6,014. This results in a total repayment amount of Rs 2,16,504 to be paid over 36 months, plus the downpayment, taking the final cost to Rs 2,46,504.

In comparison to the 2-year loan tenure, you will be paying Rs 9,144 more to the bank, but you will have the ease of paying an even lower EMI.

    4-Year Loan Tenure

Taking the loan period up to 4 years, lowers the EMI to roughly Rs 4,707. However the total repayment amount goes up to Rs 2,25,936 over a period of 48 months. That plus the downpayment takes the cost to Rs 2,55,936.

As compared to the 3-year loan, you will be paying Rs 9,432 extra to the bank. However, the EMIs will be a bit easier to manage.

    BikeDekho Says

Buying a bike on loan helps lower the upfront payment, making it easier on your pocket. However, you’ll need to pay interest to the bank, which increases the overall cost of the bike. That’s why it’s important to carefully read and understand the loan’s terms and conditions before proceeding.

Also, the down payment, and interest rate can differ based on the bank, and your credit score. Our EMI figures are calculated using average values of these factors, so the actual amount you pay may be higher or lower depending on your individual case.
