2026 Bajaj Pulsar 125: What's new?
The new bike looks much sharper, gets a new engine and more features!
The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 was recently spotted at a dealership ahead of its launch. Here's everything that's new on the bike compared to the current-gen Pulsar 125.
Design
The biggest visual change on the 2026 Pulsar 125 is the redesigned bodywork, which looks much more modern and sportier than the current-generation Pulsar 125 Classic.
It gets a new triangular LED headlight with redesigned LED DRLs, giving the bike an aggressive look. From the side, it still gets a muscular fuel tank, but the tank extensions have been redesigned and are sharper and more angular than the current-gen bike. It also gets a single-piece seat and redesigned side panels that give the bike a sleeker appearance.
The iconic Pulsar split LED tail light has also been redesigned, making it sleeker and more stylish.
Engine
The current Bajaj Pulsar 125 gets a 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 11.8 PS and 10.8 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. While the engine has a rev-happy nature, it lacks the refinement of its rivals.
The updated Pulsar 125 is expected to get a new mill producing around 12 PS and 11 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The spied images also show a completely redesigned exhaust routing and a new muffler. We expect the engine to deliver smoother performance and better fuel efficiency than the current model.
Underpinnings
The 2026 Pulsar 125 gets an all-new single-cradle tubular steel frame instead of the double-cradle frame on the current-generation bike. Another major change is the addition of a monoshock, replacing the twin shock absorbers. The bike continues to get a telescopic fork and 17-inch alloys, along with a front disc and rear drum brake setup.
Features
The current-generation Pulsar 125 gets a simple LCD console with a tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge and trip meter. However, the console is quite cluttered, and it misses out on Bluetooth connectivity.
The new bike gets a much larger colour LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and SMS alerts. The screen is big and has a neat layout which should provide all the necessary information while riding the bike at a glance.
Both bikes, however, continue to get halogen indicators, and that is something we wish Bajaj could have done differently.

The 2026 Pulsar 125 is a major overhaul over the current-generation model. It gets a sharper design, more features, a new engine and updated underpinnings. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom). With these updates, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 will go much better against the likes of Honda Shine, Honda SP125, TVS Raider and Hero Xtreme 125R.
