EXCLUSIVE: Next-Generation Bajaj Pulsar 125 TFT Variant Reaches Dealerships: New Details Revealed
An exclusive first look at the next-gen Pulsar 125, and its expected price
The TFT version of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 was recently spotted ahead of its launch. It has now started reaching dealerships as well. We have gotten an exclusive first look at the bike. Here's all you need to know.
Design
Our images give us the clearest look at the new Pulsar 125 so far. It gets a brand-new LED headlight with integrated LED DRLs. The bike also gets a redesigned fuel tank with sharper tank extensions, giving it a sportier look.
The bike is available with both single seat and split seat variants. The single seat variant gets a conventional grab rail, while the split seat variant gets split grab rails. The side panels have been given a sportier redesign and are much sleeker than before. It also gets sporty graphics along with a 3D Pulsar logo that adds a premium touch. The iconic Pulsar taillight has also been redesigned to give the bike a fresher look.
Upon closer inspection, we can also see redesigned footpeg mounts and a new rear brake pedal. The front number plate position is now mounted on the cowl above the headlight. The bike also gets a new plastic chain cover instead of the metal cover, probably to keep the weight in check.
Engine & Gearbox
The bike gets an all-new engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox; as per our sources, it could make 12.5 PS, which is 0.9 PS more than before. Compared to the older engine, we expect the new mill to deliver smoother power. For reference, the engine on the current-gen bike makes 11.6 PS and 10.8 Nm.
We can also see the redesigned exhaust routing and the new, sleeker exhaust end can. Another detail to note is that the new bike gets a toe-only gear shifter, while the older bike came with a heel-and-toe shifter.
Features
The images also give us the clearest look at the new 5-inch TFT console on the next-generation Pulsar 125. The console is similar to the one found on the newly-launched Pulsar N160 SS and can be controlled using the switchgear on the left-hand side. It gets Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and music controls. The bike gets 4 ride modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Tour.
The bike also gets a gear position indicator, a USB Type-C charging port underneath the display for added convenience, and a hazard light switch as a safety feature. The lower variant will get a 5-inch colour LCD console with similar connectivity features as the top variant.
Underpinnings
A major update is the new single cradle frame, replacing the older double cradle frame. Also, the bike now gets a monoshock, instead of the twin shock absorbers on the current-generation bike.
However, the bike continues to get a telescopic fork and the same 17-inch alloy wheels as the current model. Braking duties are handled by a 240 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum brake with Combined Braking System (CBS). It gets an 80-section front tyre and a 100-section rear tyre, similar to the current model.

With its all-new engine, monoshock suspension, TFT console, and several design changes, Bajaj aims to make it a more compelling option against rivals like the Honda SP125, TVS Raider 125 and Hero Xtreme 125R. The bike is expected to be priced at Rs 1.13 lakh (on-road) as per our showroom sources, and should be launched soon.
