Bridgestone India celebrates holiday season promoting safety in Indore

Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd. (BSID) promoted a safety campaign on the city streets of Indore. Bridgestone India, which is a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, has always been at the forefront when it comes to imparting the importance of road safety through various initiatives. The campaign was organised specifically in view of the upcoming holidays which usually result in increased road traffic and associated accidents.

Over 70 BSID representatives participated in the Road Safety campaign by displaying banners and distributing road safety pamphlets and stickers to drivers at five major traffic junctions – White Church Square, Palasia Square, Indraprasth Tower Square, High Court Junction and Regal Circle, post initial training by the Indore Traffic Department.

The campaign focuses to educate and raise awareness of traffic rules, road safety and defensive driving to make Indore City’s roads safer. The BSID volunteers reminded citizens of the importance of utilising seat belts and helmets while driving, and the dangers of drunk driving and distractions when behind the wheel, and to obey traffic rules. Bridgestone India believes that the efforts put into this road safety campaign will develop road sense among citizens and ultimately help reduce the number of road fatalities.
