BREAKING: New Simple Wave Family E-scooter Launch On September 2
New photos reveal a a lot of new details of the upcoming e-scooter
Simple Energy's upcoming scooter was spied recently ahead of its launch on September 2, 2026. The brand has revealed that the upcoming family-orientated electric scooter will be called the “Wave”. Here is an exclusive look at this upcoming scooter.
Design
The new images of the scooter reveal a completely new design language than the brand’s earlier electric scooters. With a more conventional and curvy design, this scooter will be targeted towards people looking for a practical, family oriented scooter. As seen from the images, it will have a fairly upright riding posture with a decently sized floorboard. The seat also seems to be spacious enough for two adults to sit comfortably.
The front section of the scooter gets LED DRLs, and the headlight is placed on the front apron, which goes well with the overall family-scooter design.
Features
It gets a TFT console up front and is expected to get connectivity features such as Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. The right switchgear set includes an integrated kill/start button and also a hazard light switch for added safety. The left set includes what looks like a navigation joystick for the display.
It gets a front storage compartment – added practicality for a family scooter. Also, the floorboard gets a light, which is an added convenience if you need to access your bag in a not-so-lit place.
Underpinnings
The scooter gets a telescopic fork, and dual-shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by disc brake at the front, and a drum brake setup at the rear. From the new images, we can also spot that it will be powered by a mid-mounted motor and the rear wheel will be driven by a chain drive.
Other than that, the brand has kept everything confidential; the motor and battery specs, and the range is still unknown. All said and done, the performance is expected to be more linear and family-focused than focusing on outright speed like the Simple Ultra.
The upcoming Simple Wave will rival the likes of electric scooters such as the Vida VX2, TVS Orbiter, Ather Rizta and Bajaj Chetak.
