BMW F 900 GS And F 900 GS Adventure Teased, India Launch Soon
The ADVs will replace the existing BMW F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure. They rival other ADVs like the Triumph Tiger 900 and the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE

BMW Motorrad India has teased the upcoming F 900 GS and the F 900 GS Adventure on its social media platforms, ahead of their launch. The adventure bikes will replace the existing BMW F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure in India.
What’s New On The BMW F 900 GS & F 900 GS Adventure?
The BMW F 900 GS gets a rally-inspired design, making it look slimmer as compared to its predecessor, the BMW F 850 GS. It does not have a large front beak now. The F 900 GS also gets new body panels, and a fibre fuel tank instead of a metal one that makes the ADV sharper and lighter. At 229kg, the F 900 GS is 14kg lighter than the F 850 GS. The bike features a higher handlebar and lower foot pegs, which improves control during off-road riding and enhances comfort when riding on the road.
The BMW F 900 GS Adventure also gets new body panels and looks slightly sleeker now. However, it looks similar to the F 850 GSA and retains the beak at the front as well. It has a kerb weight of 246kg, which is 2kg less than the F 850 GS Adventure.
Engine
The BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure are powered by an 895cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that produces 105PS at 8500rpm and 93Nm at 6750rpm (10PS and 1Nm more than the F 850 GS), paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Both bikes have a top speed of more than 200kmph.
Underpinnings
Both the ADVs get a 43mm Showa inverted fork with 230mm travel and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear with 215mm travel. Braking is handled by 305mm dual discs at the front and a 265mm disc at the rear, with ABS. It rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, wrapped with 90-section and 150-section tubeless tyres, respectively
BMW F 900 GS & F 900 GS Adventure Expected Price & Launch Date
We expect the ADVs to launch soon, probably in the next few weeks. The F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure are likely to be priced at somewhere between Rs 13.5 - 14.5 lakh (ex-showroom). They will go up against the other ADVs like the Triumph Tiger 900 and Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE.
